Cornwall Cup Champions 2015
Welcome to Duchy Hockey Club... Duchy HC was setup in 2009 to bring hockey back to the Camborne/Redruth area, and fill in the gap between the much respected clubs in Truro, Penzance and Falmouth. The club was founded with the Mens 1st XI, and contested their first season of league hockey in 2009-10, competing in, and winning, South Western District 1 of the Davis Wood Hockey League.
The 2010-11 Season saw the officially formation of the Men's 2nd XI and Ladies 1st XI, and in March 2011 the Ladies side were granted a place in Trelawny Division 2 of the West Club's Women's Hockey League for 2011-12.
2011-12 saw a golden season for the club, with both 1st XI's winning their respective divisions, whilst the Mens 2nd XI were awarded a place in the DWHL, taking the club to three league teams for 2012-13.
Duchy plays home games at Pool Academy, and many of our players have come from clubs of old such as CamReds and St Agnes and range from "8 to 80" with a diverse mix of skills. We aim to play good, exciting hockey with an emphasis on enjoyment.
The Club has an organising team made up of long-term Hockey enthusiasts including local business people, the secretary for the Cornwalll Hockey Association, The Cornwall representative to the Davis Wood Hockey League and the Honorary President of the Cornwall Hockey Umpires Association.
Although our committee looks after the day to day running of the club we pride ourselves in the fact that every member of DHC has a say in what we do.
For more information please have a scout around our ever growing website or contact us.
Membership forms for adults can be found here, and should be given to a member of the committee at training. Under 18's will need to ask a parent or guardian to complete an U18s Membership Form and email to the memberhip secretary (details can be found on the form).
