Welcome to Duchy Hockey Club... Duchy Hockey Club (DHC) was setup in 2009 to fill in the gap between the much respected clubs in Truro, Penzance and Falmouth. DHC plays home games at Pool Academy, with the Mens 1st XI contesting their first season of league hockey in South Western District 1 of the Davis Wood Hockey League in 2009-10. This first year saw the Mens 1st's secure the title and promotion to South West Division 1 for 2010-11.
At the start of 2011 the club officially formed the Ladies 1st XI, with the club having been granted a place in Trelawny Division 2 for 2011-12.
Many of our players have come from clubs of old such as CamReds and St Agnes and range from "50-something's" to "20-something's" with a diverse mix of skills. We aim to play good, exciting hockey with an emphasis on enjoyment.
Duchy Hockey Club has a committee made up of long term Hockey enthusiasts including local business people, the secretary for the Cornwalll Hockey Association, The Cornwall representative to the Davis Wood Hockey League and the Honorary President of the Cornwall Hockey Umpires Association.
Although our committee looks after the day to day running of the club we pride ourselves in the fact that every member of DHC has a say in what we do.
For more information please have a scout around our ever growing website or contact us.
Membership forms for adults can be found here, and should be given to a member of the committee at training. Under 18's will need to ask a parent or guardian to complete an U18s Membership Form and email to the memberhip secretary (details can be found on the form).
